It is a sad day here today. We said goodbye to our little princess, Lacey. She had been going downhill for the past 6 months or so, so we knew the day was coming, (it doesn't make it any easier) however, she took a turn for the worse last evening, so we made the sad decision to let her go. Lacey was our 4th greyhound and joined our pack in Feb. 2005. Nine years, man that went by fast! Her are some pics of what she liked, or tolerated doing: Frolicking in the snow and tossing a stuffy playing with Beau carry around her stuffy sleep go in parades dress up for halloween with her brothers and sister... Lacey is second from the right... sadly of this group, only Brandy (in the middle) is still with us hanging out with the rest of her pack...Lacey at the bottom .... sadly of this group, only Brandy, top right, is still with us how we will miss kissing this nose We'll miss you Lacey. Run free with your brothers.

So sorry to read about the loss of your Lacey. What a beautiful girl she was - and so happy! She was certainly well loved and it looks like she enjoyed every moment of her retirement! Run free at the bridge Lacey and watch over your family (human and fur variety!)

So sorry for your loss. It is amazing to see how many greys you have welcomed into your home, it truly speaks to how wonderful greyhound people can be. What an amazing life you have provided for Lacey and all the others. I love your comment and photo about missing kissing her nose. Run free Lacey.

I'm sorry to hear of Lacey's passing. I remember seeing that group Halloween photo and showed it to so many people. May you have an endless supply of stuffies to toss & carry around at the Bridge.

She was so truly be blessed to be love by both of you and her pack. I know you will have a whole in your house but not your hearts as she will be with you forever! Rest peacefully Lacey.

Jim and Cathy and Lacey's pack ... I am so sorry about the passing of your sweet Lacey. What a retirement she had though with her family, both human and hounds, her joy is so apparent in the photos you posted. Lacey's love will continue to grow in your hearts as you cherish her memories and celebrate her life.
Godspeed sweet Lacey ...

I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. My sincere condolences.
The years truly do fly by in life and there is a bewildering void when one who has been with us for so long, filled our days with hugs and kisses, and been our source of love and joy, is taken away by the fate of those years. They become so much a part of what makes up our day-to-day world that it seems impossible that they are not there when we call their name. But our lives are so much richer and our hearts so much more whole because of their love. And this will always be. Lacey will forever be with you in spirit.
Godspeed sweet girl.

Jim & Cathy,
What a joyous 9 years of retirement life you provided for sweet Lacey. She lived a fully enriched 12/13 years I see which is wonderful. I have had the pleasure of meeting your beautiful girl in person at several parades, meet & greets, and GRA picnics and she truly was a little princess. My heart goes out to both of you. Godspeed dear Lacey.
