Dear Jim and Cathy, I am so sorry to read about the loss of your beautiful Lacey. It is most certainly evident in your pictures how much fun she had with your family and how well loved she was. I also want to take a moment to thank the two of you for all that you do for GRA! Clearly, your love for greyhounds is emmence. Not only do you take the time to volunteer with the pups, but all the years that you have helped to run the bar-b-q and everything else related to the picnic. Not to mention, taking trips down to the states to bring us our beautiful hounds. The two of you have a very special place waiting for you one day, long down the road and when that day comes, you will be joined by all the beautiful greyhounds you have brought into your home over the years. You are two very special people, and it's a pleasure to have you in my greyhound world! Martha

Jim and Cathy, I am so very sorry for your loss. As everyone has mentioned Lacey looks so happy in all the pictures. She had a wonderful life with you and your pack. I also want to second what Martha said. You are both are special people and your love for these dogs is so easy to see. Thanks for all you do for the kennel.

We are so sad to read about your beautiful girl Lacey. She is gorgeous and gave you and all her brothers and sisters so much love - her pictures says it all. It is heart-wrenching to say good-bye to our beautiful loyal hounds. She is now free from pain, has earned her wings and once again is able to frolic again like she did when she was with you. Rest in Peace Lacey.

Oh no! Lacey, sweet sweet girl. I will never forget the soft kicks she'd give when you stopped petting her. Run free love. Dance with the angels.

Jim and Cathy. I haven't been on the form much and am just seeing this.
What beautiful photos of your princess. She was certainly a very lucky girl to have had your home as her furever home. Everyone knows how much you loved her and all of your greys, as well as those in the kennel.
I'm sending condolences and many, many hugs to you both. Take care of yourselves. I'm here if you need anything.
Liz

Jim and Cathy, We are so sorry for your loss of Lacey. Our hearts break for you. We remember when you first adopted Lacey and brought her to her first (of many) Springbank walks and will never forget how smitten our Simon was of her from the moment he met her. I know that they, along with all those that you (and we) have lost are playing together. And because of Simon's love for her, Lacey will always have a little piece of our hearts. Lacey had a wonderful home and retirement with you guys and knows how much she was loved. Many hugs to you both.
Godspeed Lacey. You will be missed by many, especially your mom and dad.
Nat
(And so sorry for responding so long after. I just read this as I don't visit the forum very often).

Jim and Cathy I am so sorry to hear about Lacey. From the photos you can tell that she lived her retirement to the fullest and loved every minute with you. She certainly ended up in the best forever home with the two of you and the rest of her pack. And in the end you showed her the true extent of your love by making the very hardest decision of all, saying goodbye.
How awesome that you got to share nine years with her but also how incredibly difficult it must be now that she is gone. I know there are no words. We are thinking of you.
