Last (and Happy) Update in Post 29! Well, I'm only a day away and I'm nervous as heck. Orion will be going for a dental procedure on Monday morning. They will clean his teeth and remove the ones that are too far gone. Please keep him in your thoughts. I'm a very worried mommy

I have my fingers crossed that all goes well, and he gets to keep more teeth than you expect.

Well, dropped him off at 7:30. He was unhappy that he didn't get breakfast this morning (and even less happy that he couldn't have his bedtime treat last night). He did enjoy the car ride there though.
I'll update everyone this afternoon.

Well, the dental is done, but he's not out of the woods yet. He lost 14 + teeth (quick count by the vet when he called). Unfortunately, after the procedure, Orion couldn't breathe on his own and he developed malignant hyperthermia (his body temperature sky rocketed; rather than the usual response to anaesthesia of having the body temperature decrease). It took about an hour, but they finally got him stabilized, breathing on his own and his temperature has now returned to the normal level. He's having a bit of trouble "waking" up. He's awake but not mobile yet. He's just starting to respond to voices/squeaks (as of 3:30). I have an appointment to pick him up and be debriefed at 5, but if he's not mobile by then, he may have to spend the night being monitored at the Evet. I hope he can come home, but I'll understand if he must stay overnight. They've been updating me every hour or so as his condition changes. My amazing vet told me that during his lunch he hunkered down with Orion in the kennel to keep an eye on him. Keep those good thoughts rolling! I've been praying all afternoon for him to be and stay well.

Oh no. How frightening.
It sounds like he's in very good hands. I hope he recovers quickly.
