just saying! I miss all the communication here on our GRA forum. I do understand the convenience of FaceBook, but this forum always felt so personal. M

I agree with you "Hound-Haven" - where is everyone? This website is the best as it is so informative on so many issues especially to all new greyhound owners.

I check it every night but hardly find any new posts. Such a disappointment. This was one place you could always depend on for documenting the lives of our greyhounds from the day we adopted them to the day they crossed the Bridge. And yes, the forum has always been more personal. Hopefully, I'll be posting some photos either tonight or tomorrow. At least, I know you two are there to see them (hahahahah)

Hi, I agree. As a new greyhound owner (since May) I also miss this forum. It just feels more personal than Facebook and I much prefer it, but it does seem to have fizzled out over the summer and fall. Angelollie I look forward to your photos too! I do have some questions about greys and the cold weather - I don't have time now (at work!) but will post this evening I hope. Thank you to all the experienced grey owners for sharing their wisdom with us newbies on this forum.

I check the forum every day, and I'll admit I don't post often, other than updating the adoptables list

I check all the time and there are fewer posts. I have been favoring Tilley and since this isn't a piggy forum I don't have much to contribute lately. LOL :@)

I have to say I feel the same. Facebook is cool and all but the GRA forums have so much information in them dating back a long time and covering all sorts of things. It is kind of sad it is seeing less and less activity.

I also agree. I check the website daily for new posts even if I don't have time to write or post. It is my way to de-stress in the 2 minutes I have between my appointments during my workday. Personally, I am only on Facebook to monitor what my children do and make sure they are safe on the internet. I hope the activity on the Forum starts to come back...I'll do my part and try to make more of an effort...now where is that camera? ?

I check the forum almost daily as well, but don't post often. It used to be so much busier here. I don't do Facebook, I prefer the format on forums for finding and reading information. I admit, that I spend way more time on the Greytalk forum just because it has so many more people and active topics. But...big forums also bring a lot of nasty people and opinions at times though, and I always like the "smaller" friendly feel to this forum. I will try to do my part and post more

I have missed all of the posts on here also. I check back as much as I can although I don't post a lot. Facebook is quick and easy but it definitely does not have the personal feel that this forum has. I will try and post a bit more and hopefully it will start to pick up again.

Hopefully once the snow starts flying the forum will pick up some steam...It seems like since the FB page went up, this forum lost alot of traffic. I myself will make an effort to come here more often, as I hope others will too!

I too check the forum daily and am also sad that it has become so quiet. I do find it more personal and has always been such a wealth of knowledge about our greyhounds. Hoping things pick up.

Unfortunately, forums are going the way of mIRC chatrooms, ICQ and even MSN Messenger. The social media platforms have taken over.

Cannot remember the last time I was here. "Hello" to all. Sadly, we are without Greys in our lives right now. They've all crossed the bridge. Bill had a lot of pictures of our pups on the site, but I'm not sure if they're still here. Beau (Devie's Whistler) was our first Grey. He came to us from a New Hampshire track via Gracanada, when Bill and his wife were still running things there. Cindy Faircloth sent us home with Tia (Paragon Tia Rose), when we visited her kennel at Dairyland. Diego, originally from Bill, was adopted by us along with a little terrier as a "package deal". Our daughter was gifted a Chihuahua puppy, who she named Reno, since he came home on the plane with her from Reno, Nevada. For years we had a house full of 5 dogs. Tia was the first to leave, when she succumbed to kidney failure; Diego was next, when his cancer treatments failed him, Suzy (the blind and deaf Terrier was about 18 years old and had been in a puppy mill originally) was next; Beau just suddenly became ill and dehydrated, the vet was able to re-hydrate him, but the underlying problem took him quickly; Reno was born with a heart defect and succumbed to heart failure. We had also rescued a lovely female black lab who had been abandoned on the side of a highway. She wasn't chipped and nobody claimed her. She was the last to leave us...Labour Day Weekend, this year. We are without dogs. Give your pups a hug from us...
