We want to find a good park to take Froggy to, but whenever I go online to read about one there are frightening horror stories. We had one experience already that has cemented the 'nervous mommy' feeling in me. Unfortunetly, the only enclosed backyard we have access to is an hour North. We had Frog there on Christmas Day and we got to see her run crazy fast ( normally she sticks to our side and won't venture off on her own ). Anyhow, I was hoping someone has gone to a park in Toronto/Scarborough and could share some thoughts.

We go to the leash free at Dixie and Lakeshore, there are at least two greys there every Saturday around 8:34. There are lots of other dogs there as well, but they are all friendly.

It's a bit far, but well worth coming to see us at the SSGG. Froggy would be safe from harm, and have many greyhounds to run with. We are about 45 minutes north of Toronto, just off the 400 at highway 89.
I would dearly love to see her again!

If you look up "GiNA" (Greyhounds in Need of Adoption)....they are based in Toronto, they have many organised walks, runs, playtime, meet and greets, etc. There is a low annual membership fee. Froggy could make lots of friends.

The Galloping Greyhound Playgroup meets every Sunday @ 1:30 at a beautiful horse farm north of Oshawa. Go to their website and contact Renee for more info. Lots of Greys from GRA are members of the group. Beautiful safe facilities indoor and out and really awesome people. Raleigh has made many wonderful friends there, he lives for his Sunday outings.

Yes it is in Marie Curtis park, but the entrance is off of the Lakeshore. It's sand so it;s great for running, except on days like this when its frozen solid. LOL

Thank you everyone for the great suggestions. Campgreyhound, we travel to Alliston quite a bit, and Froggy loves the drive. We would certainly make the drive to visit.
I've looked into GINA and The Galloping Greyhound and I am very interested in getting involved. I'm sure Froggy will love it. Thanks again everyone.

One more voice here.... I lived in the upper beach area of Toronto for years (have recently moved to Dundas ON), we took Kaili to Norwood Park just west of Gerrard and Main streets. The dog park within the park is fully fenced, quite sandy, good size. There is a greyhound group meet every Saturday or Sunday morning, can't recall now. There's a fabulous dog park at the beach but the fencing isn't the best, and stops about 5' from the water's edge, I was always too paranoid to take Kaili in case she escaped caught up in the moment. But if you don't have that concern it's a beautiful somewhat naturalized area, shrubs, sand, water access. Kaili is almost 11 now, not so into running, now that we're outside downtown TO we do have a large fenced yard, I've not yet found a great fenced in dog park in the Hamilton/Burlington area--if anyone has a suggestion I'm all ears

I meet up with another hound occasionally at Eglinton and Kennedy, just off the 401 in Mississauga. Your welcome to join us next time we go. Usually Sun mornings. Park isn't to busy and last weekend Jack joined us so the 3 greys had a good time together.
PM me if interested.

So glad you made it out to the play group! We were out at GRA picking up the sister Lula (Coach Moolah) to our boy Raleigh (Coach Manchin) so missed going this weekend. We are going to give Lula a couple of weeks to settle and feel better after her surgery and then we will be out to the farm again. Can't wait to meet Froggy.
