Congrats on bringing Lula home. I want a second greyhound as well, but my fiancée and my mom ( aka the dog walker) have put the kibosh on that for now. 😥 Look forward to meeting your two down the road. We aim to be back on March 3, and continue every other week. Froggy's legs aren't that great, so we don't want to over do it with her.

We take Turbo to any of the 3 fully fenced dog parks near our apartment at St Clair and Bathurst: Sir Winston Churchill, Cedarvale and Wychwood. Only problem we've had is the odd time a gate hasn't been properly latched by somebody coming in or out. Turbo got out just once but I've been careful to keep him away from the gates in general since then. Obviously you are taking a risk at any dog park, but I go often enough I am able to recognize any repeat problem dogs and luckily Turbo has more flight than fight in him. But yes I have seen dog fights break out a few times.

Hi Ktel,
I am up at Avenue/Eglinton. Lakota would love it if we could meet up sometime at one of the leash frees. When do you go?
Also, I didn't know there was one at Wychwood. Is it where the old TTC barns were? I know they've done a lot of improvement there recently. Is it a good park?

Hi lakota,
Right now in the winter we don't go very often or on any sort of regular schedule because most of the parks are way too icy and Turbo gets pretty cold. Wychwood is where the old TTC barns are, yes. They have a nice farmer's market on Saturday. We most often go to Wychwood on Saturday or Sunday mornings because we're guaranteed to see a bunch of other dogs. It's not a very big park, definitely the smallest of the three in our neighborhood, but it is nice and busy on weekends and it's also the closest to our apartment. Too small and too many obstacles for Turbo to get a full speed run in though. Come spring/summer we will probably be taking him to Cedarvale or Winston Churchill on a regular basis on weekday evenings and weekend mornings.
