has anyone else enjoyed a morning only a grey can provide when you wake up twisted up like a pretzel around your dog who is stretched out as far as you could imagine is possible. My Knees are so stiff this morning lol. I think we need a reminder of whose bed is whose.

That reminder goes for me too! I didn't know a person's body could get so stiff!

I sometimes wake up on about 6 inches of bed, and Connie and Romi have the rest. Sometimes Millie joins in, I think I need a king size bed lol.

We have a king sized bed and only Ivy sleeps with us and we STILL don't have enough room. She puts her back against mine, her feet against John's back and pushes! Hard! It doesn't help that I'm going through the change....half the time I'm too hot "get away Ivy!" or too cold "Ivy, come here", too hot "get away Ivy", too cold "Ivy come here".........I'm lucky if I get any sleep at all

Ranger doesn't really know how to jump so he wouldn't be able to get on the bed, nor would his crusty butt be allowed anyhow But Force definitely enjoys his bed time and I love having him up there He's learned quite well how to stay on his side. The little ones are a whole different story - it's like sleeping with two cement blocks beside you - for only being 40lbs each, they are immovable when they are sleeping and both like to sleep right up against me so if i move - so do they - always end up on the edge.

Catie is a PAIN in the butt when she sleeps with us. It usually ends up that my husband is diagonal across the bed, and I am laying horizontally at the top of the bed, with Catie taking up the rest of the bed! She sure likes to stretch out.
Ozzy tends to curl up at my feet, so he takes up much less space. We thought going from a double bed to a queen would be SO WONDERFUL.... and then we adopted Catie.

I woke up just this morning, balanced precariously on the edge. And Summer was gloriously reclined against me with her legs straight out. A queen bed is NOT large enough!

Stormy fell off my husband's bed - after he'd been complaining for a long time that she took up most of the space, so that ended that.
Sunny hasn't discovered beds yet (they're upstairs). I'm NOT encouraging her. She has TWO dog beds under one cover, so is quite happy where she is.

A KING bed is not big enough! I'm like Quitestorm with the little 19lb Daxie who always sleeps right against me. By morning I have a small sliver of the King size bed.
Troy and Mary generally sleep on their beds on the floor. On occasion someone might jump in when hubby goes to work. Those darn Greys have such long legs. I'd rather be uncomfortable than disturb their very tight sleep.

This is why my two have their own human bed, complete with a pillow-top mattress. When they get the rare invite up on the bed, they do try to behave, because if they start shoving me around too much, they are told to get off. I can't imagine trying to sleep with them: they always lie with their paws to me and I've heard what happens when they dream. Can't even imagine how much that would hurt.

Often there is a tangle of running legs amassed near me. I am always thankful when I have the face end of the pile-up.

Just saw something on the Net yesterday about dogs in bed being bad for humans. All the dreaming and position changing they do disturbs ones sleep. The old girl used to sleep with my husband until he found his sleep was being very disrupted. (I'm surprised she could put up with his snoring. LOL !!!) Now both greys happily sleep on their own beds and everyone gets rested.

Sneaks discovered beds after being home for about a month. I then quickly discovered that both of us "sharing" the bed meant that I would be curled up into a little ball and he would be roached right smack in the center. I have him trained now so that when I come to bed, he hops off my bed onto his dog bed on the floor. But, right around 2 or 3 am, when I am sound asleep, he gently climbs back up on the bed and curls up at my feet. By morning, I am sleeping horizontally across the top of my bed and he is roached right right smack in the center....
