oh, this thread made me laugh! Ours are crated at night because Sammy the cat likes to stalk the greys at night and he would be one dead kitty by morning if they were not crated (they aren't aggressive with the cats during the day at all, but do not tolerate him stalking them at night...and he loves to torture them...he is a scamp!). BUT, Willy-Bear HAS to have his morning snuggle with Mommy, or he pouts all day, so when the alarm goes off, his crate gets opened, and up on the bed he hops to roach in between us. Willy and I usually get all the room we need...Harold has next to none...lol! Gee, I wonder if Willy is giving Daddyman a message? he he... Afternoon naps, however, are shared by any number of hounds...2-3 usually, as Rio cannot jump onto the bed...and it can get very crowded, with little room left for us, and paws/legs everywhere!
Honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way!

LOL! Reminds me of the times I dog sat a grey when his owners went away. Blade was a large male, they had a King size bed...plenty of room, or so I thought. He would either lay w/ his back against mine and gradually through the night inch me right over to the very edge of the bed OR would sleep w/ his paws against my back. A number of times he actually succeeded @ kicking me out of bed then when I picked myself up off the floor, he'd lift his head up and look @ me like hey, how'd ya get down there?! He was also a huge blanket hog...I'd wake up freezing and he'd have them piled into a comfy nest around him!
