Dear Parker, I can't believe that you have left us too! I remember so well the day I first saw you. The hauler hadn't even stopped yet, when I saw your beautiful fawn face and big brown eyes peeking out the back door as the truck rolled to a stop. I knew in that instant that you would be our boy, and you certainly were that! Betty and I came the next day to take you for a walk, just to make sure that Boo wanted you for a brother, and it was love at first sight for her too. You were our baby boy and always will be. Many dear memories will hold you in our hearts forever, and the couch just isn't the same without you there with us. We miss you so much and can't believe you are gone. The only thing that seems to help ease this ache in my heart is knowing that you and Boo and together and having fun playing and getting into mischief together again. Run free my little blondie and don't be giving Betty a hard time lol.
So hard to believe that we have now lost 2 of our babies to cancer in just 6 short weeks. They will always be remembered and loved by all who knew them.

Parker just couldn't wait to get off the bus to see his new mom!
Heather I'm sorry for your loss of Parker. Run free sweet boy. Your big sister Betty Boo is waiting for you at the bridge to show you the ropes.

OMG Heather, I'm so sorry that you have lost Parker too! Parker and Boo must have made quite the impression in your life to lead you to become the kennel mum for GRA. I can't imagine the heartbreak you are feeling losing 2 pups within 6 weeks to cancer, it is such a helpless feeling, nothing we can do, are beautiful pups are gone.
Run free Parker with Betty Boo, a couple that's meant to be.

Heather I am sitting here in utter disbelieve that cancer had claimed another hound, and for you your second beloved soul in six weeks. It is truly unbelievable, unfair and maddening. I'm almost to the point where I cannot log onto the forum for fear that another name has been added to the Rainbow Bridge.
I don't know what to say as words seem so futile at a time like this and you have been hit doubly hard. "I'm sorry" seems so weak to even touch the pain and sorrow you must be feeling but I am truly, truly sorry that your Betty and Parker have crossed the bridge. I hope our dear Max is there to meet both of them with some of his goofy antics. I know he could always put a smile on my face with his silliness and hope he is entertaining the pups at the bridge.
While words cannot take away your pain I know I found solace in the forum and the support from others that understood the immense loss I had suffered when Max died. I hope that reading through these posts provides you with some comfort to some small degree.
I don't know what else to say except that I am thinking about you at this very difficult time and hope that memories of both Betty and Parker fill your heart with love and eventually ease some of the sadness.

I am really shocked that your recent loss has included your sweet Parker. I am so, so sorry. He was a love-at-first-sight for both his favorite ladies. There is a sad calm in knowing that Betty and Parker are together at the Bridge, but the hollow left behind is so difficult. The sudden emptiness of their beds and the quietness within your home must be deafening. May the memory of his little face in the window of the hauler forever inspire you as you oversee the new beginnings for so many pups at GRA.
Godspeed sweet Parker.

My dear friend .... I'm so sorry about the loss of Parker as well. I think Boo wanted her bestest brother to keep her company, her personal playmate to run and have fun with. So when you are missing them so, just picture Betty and Parker together again, still the great friends they were here on earth.
Parker may only have been able to share a part of your life but for him, you were his whole life. You can't do much better then that. You and I have discussed this before how blessed we are to share our lives with the soul of a greyhound. Hugs to you and your family and Godspeed sweet boy Parker.
In Memory of Betty and Parker: "There is nothing like the heart of a greyhound Their love is complete and unconditional in every way They are dedicated, loving and loyal They are one of the “sweetest creatures” you will ever have the pleasure of knowing They are truly a gift from God, sent to you from him" (author - Deb Carrothers)

Another two beautiful star will be shining to-night - Parker and Betty's soul have risen high. Tears are rolling down my cheeks yet again as I only know how broken-hearted you must feel. Recently, there have been a few of us who have lost one of the loves of our lives and it hurts and the only comfort that we have is that our greys are free from any kind of pain that they so stoically endured. You gave them all the love that they so well deserved and they gave it back to you 100% plus. Rest in peace Parker and Betty and run free with all your new found friends at the bridge.

Parker will be fondly remembered by the children at the school he visited. He was loved by EVERYONE! Keep all of those fond memories next to your heart, H. He will be missed.

Oh my, I was so shocked to read this so soon after you lost one piece of your heart another has been taken away as well. Sorry can not begin to relay my condolences for you and your family. You have lost far to much far to soon. As I read this post I thought to myself that some things are meant to last an eternity and I believe that Betty Boo and Parker were meant to be together forever. I am sure their twinkling eyes will be watching over you very closely and in the quiet times you will feel them beside you, nudging you not to forget them, which I am sure you never will.
Our thoughts are with you all at this trying time.

Heather, I'm sorry to hear about your Parker. Losing 1 is hard enough but 2 so close together just isn't fair. He is reunited with his sister and they are telling the others what a great life you gave them. R.I.P. Parker. Run pain free at the bridge with all our other angels.

I'm so sorry for your loss Heather. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful story of how you met your little blond Parker, he sounds like such a special pup. Hopefully you can find some comfort in the joy you must feel when you find forever homes for the hounds at the kennel (you are the best kennel mom!). You are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Run free sweet Parker.
