Hello fellow forum fur kid lovers, GRA is awesome, and we love the forum and the support that we received through our terrible ordeal. We are still fighting the good fight, but life has a hard time moving on when you are suddenly dogless - everywhere you look, everything you do has revolved around a greyhound for so long that we asked ourselves, why should we have to feel so bad when there are other greys that are looking for love, especially with this cold winter. When Ears Comer came up, we looked at her for a few days and felt that something about her kept us coming back. We called Bill, and talked a little about Bella, and I brought up Ears, and Bill started to laugh. So we went for a drive on Sunday the 8th to meet her, and brought her home yesterday. It really didn't help that Danielle went GRA Auction happy while Bella was recovering, and then with her unfortunate passing the gifts started coming in the mail! We knew that we'd have to use them! So thank you all again, we will have a happy Christmas, teaching Holly, and of course Holly teaching us everything we can share together as our family is once again whole.
Holly was a great girl coming home and overnight. Having her surgery, I thought she would be a little uncomfortable and was more than willing to lift her in my truck but when I opened the door, before I even turned she was inside! I feel the little 55lb bundle of joy will be an excellent traveller! She has investigated every nook of our home so far and is learning how to enjoy being a pet. Learned the stairs after being home just a few hours (though she's a little quick on the up - like a spring!!) Bella enjoyed her years, and her last year was extra special as we purchased a 30ft travel trailer and camped all over southern Ontario, Bella was happy to go anywhere with us. Holly will fit in perfectly - she seems like the adventurous type, our daughter Faith is 9 and I see some similarities with them, they both don't stop movin .
Again, thanks to everyone for your support. Still learning how to post pictures, so if this doesn't work, I will post some pics!
