As most of you know, we lost our precious boy Auggie 2 months ago. Roonie really misses him too and has showed us in many ways that his absence has taken quite a toll on her.
So, we decided it would be best to offer our home to another grey.
I regret not getting a picture of Roonies reaction when we brought "Theo", previously known as "Temptation", in
through the front door. She was thrilled to say the least.
They met several days before at the barn and got along
right away.
This is Theo leaving GRA, after this was taken, he layed down
the whole ride home.
I couldn't get over how good he was.
didn't pant once!
We does not like the cold white stuff yet.
This is how he feels about the cats!
All this excitement is exhausting though.
He would however like to say, "Thanks Papa Bill"
He was pretty hyper at first, but is settling in well.
He started to whine and yip a bit in the middle of the night.
I was about to get up when I heard Roonie give him a good
"barking to", as to say "Shut it, some of us are trying to sleep"
LOL. It worked, he went back to sleep.
there have been a couple of hiccups, but nothing that we weren't expecting, we've done this before.
I'm so proud of Roonie, she is being so good and she is helping us train him. Roo isn't a grey that cuddles up in the same bed, she likes her own space. We thought it was pretty cute that she abandoned her favourite bed by the doorway and chose to gather her blanket and lay down by the window facing Theo.
He was at the front door with tail wagging when I got home from work, but didn't tackle me (like he did yesterday lol) He appreciates all of his hugs and kisses, but treats are AWESOME!!!
He is FANTASTIC about wearing his muzzle around the house and just as good with his crate. Roo and Auggie were WAYYYY more challenging when they came home!!!
Fingers crossed that tonight goes as smoothly .
Plenty of pics and stories to follow.
