With the passing of Troy our house has been very lonely. In particular Ghost has not been himself. So we decided to get a new friend sooner rather then later. So I'd like to Introduce our my new boy Josh (aka Jed's Josh)! Josh is an absolute sweetheart. He paced for about an hour when he arrived and then he just settled in. He loves his new brothers and I can't believe how much Ghost and him really like each other. They are always together. Ghost has taken him under his wing and is showing him the ropes, and how to escape out of his crate LOL! So no more crate for Josh. He sleeps in our room at night on his bed beside Ghost. He mastered the stairs to the backyard and upstairs in the first day and has had only 2 washroom mistakes. I'd say he's been pretty perfect! for a new hound. He also loves Leopold. The only thing he needs to overcome is his fear of the cats. I can't forget to mention his mommy and daddy love him already! He loves his hugs, kisses, treats and enjoys his morning walks. Here's a few pics of Josh (sorry for the quality, I'm not the camera person). Chilling with my new brothers and all my stuffies. I'm learning how to play with these! Heading out for a walk in my new coat. So comfy and warm, and I match my brothers. Just my handsome self. P.S my bare bottom will be hairy in no time!

Awww, thank you Erika, the pics are wonderful. Little Leopold looks so funny between Ghost And Josh, we had to laugh. Josh is just perfect, reminds me so much of Auggie, I just want to kiss his whole face. can;t wait for warmer weather and a play date for all four... and the pups too of course

What a wonderful intro post! Congratulations on your new family member!
And, ok, that second to last photo of all three together in their coats needs a caption:

Lovely looking boy. What will you do/give him to get rid of the bald patch?

Lovely looking boy. What will you do/give him to get rid of the bald patch? His bald patch is actually that, patchy and full of tiny little hairs. Fish oil and my homemade dog food always does the trick. Ghost, Troy and Mary all had bald butts and within months they all grew in. Troy ended up with the softest and thickest hair ever. I think it's the good dog food, soft bedding and lots of love. Update: Josh had his first day home for 3 hours without the crate. He did awesome

Erika, I am so happy for you and your family and Troy will be happy that you've opened your heart to giving another hound a retirement just like he had. Josh is such a handsome black boy, just love his gentle expression.
I had to laugh at Leopold's little Chilli Dog Great Northern coat ... other then him, I've never seen one so small ... it's adorable ... he's adorable.
And I'm also happy for Ghost. He may not have understood what happened to Troy but for sure he was missing him.
Looking forward to more photos and updates of your sweet boys.
