The St.Marys fair is coming up the weekend of July 26-29th. I was wondering if we could get a bunch of dogs together and a banner for GRA and march (as the dogs were such a hit last Saturday). The good news is the parade is on the Friday night (July 27th) so summer heat will be a little less of an issue. The bad news we have to meet between 6 and 6:30 pm. I am hoping to have flyers to hand out and candy to throw. The theme is "A Birthday Celebration: 160 Years of the St.Marys Fair". Birthday hats, streamers and balloons could be among your costumes should you like to dress your pups up. If you are able to make it please either PM me or email me. I know it is short notice but The dogs were a hit in this town and the more they draw attention the more I am hoping will be adopted ... so Bill can help even more than he already does. Thanks, Tara

The organizer of the parade wants us to meet on Water Street across from Ball Funeral Home. If you come from Highway 7 take Perth Road 123 (Water Street) to the traffic light (Queen St.). Go through the light there is a parking lot on your left. That is where we will meet. Can't wait to see you all there. Tara

Can't wait to see you all there. I was asked if we should all try to dress alike so we look like a group. Maybe jeans and white t-shirts? Don't know what are everyone's thoughts. Tara

Valerie and I had a great time walking in the parade. Tara and I were the banner carriers. A sheep was walking in front of us. Tyson was not sure if it should be treated as lunch. Valerie was quite eager to get closer. I am not sure if she thought "lunch" or a giant, self-propelled stuffie. No one really knows what the sheep thought.
Thanks to Cathy for making those colourful collars for the dogs. They were really snazzy.
It was fun to have our greys walk quietly past the yappy little dogs.
Thanks, Tara, for the idea of participating in the parade.
