Does anyone know if you can get Frosty Paws in London? They're an ice cream treat for dogs made by the company that owns Loblaws (I think), and Hamilton just started selling them so maybe they're not here yet...Does anyone know for sure?

I hadn't heard of them before, but did some searching out of curiosity, and found a link with a recipe to make them yourself if you want to try www.recipegoldmine.com/pets/pets100.htmlIt looks like Purina makes them, but if Loblaws owns Purina or makes them, you would think the loblaws here would sell them. I'll have to keep an eye out for them!

Frosty Paws are made by Purina. Frosty Paws are available at Loblaws in Mississauga. They're in the ice cream section--next to ice cream bars in my local store. The box is sky blue, and there is a white cartoon dog on the front.
If you don't have Loblaws, check Zehrs, Fortinos, or wherever you buy President's Choice products.

petacular has either the true "frostypaws" or an equivalent product with a different brand name, they are in the freezers in the store. We just make our own in leftover tupperware containers

A good substitute is to buy plain/unflavoured yogurt, mix in a blender with your pups favourite fruit and freeze in ice cube trays.. they're good for them and for you. My kids love strawberry/banana.
It's a nice cold treat in the summer when it's really hot out.
Becareful, though, it's usually a big sopping mess by the time they are done.

Jen, I've made them in leftover tupperware containers like the ones you can get at Angelo's and there is less mess

LOL You should watch Atlas eat them. He has to have it in his mouth (bites off chunks) so he's slobbering and it's melting... Hilarious!

I already buy yogurt and freeze it in ice cube trays for him, so I guess Roman has already unknowingly had frosty paws then That's weird about Petacular though...I asked one of the ladies that works there and she said she doesn't have them...she even looked in the fridge

I wonder if anyone has purchased them from Loblaws not knowing that they were intended for dogs....

Wal Mart in Woodstock has just started carrying frosty paws in their frozen ice cream section. Perhaps other Wal Marts are carrying it too?
karma just loves his frosty paws. He holds it between his paws and works away at it until every last drop is gone. MMMMMMMM

When I get back to London I'll have more free time so I'll try making the recipe myself!
