We took our girls to the dog park in Woodstock on Saturday. While Annie was standing there, an entire group of larger dogs seemed to gather around. A lady arrived with three very frisky small dogs dressed in Halloween costumes. The one dressed as a pumpkin came and got right in the middle of this group of dogs. She had a hood on her head that was much too big and was covering her eyes. Annie some how stepped on the hood while this little beagle came out of nowhere and grabbed the pumpkin costume and pulled it over the dog's head. With this he took off running with in. There was a very large husky running by with a large stick in his mouth which caught onto the pumpkin costume. The race was on! These two dogs were running all over the park fighting over this costume with the other dogs close behind. It was hilarious to watch (although the owner was ticked right off and started yelling at everyone to try and get this costume away from the dogs. Once the costume was returned to her, this stupid woman put it back on the dog! I guess she hadn't learned her lesson the first time around! ;D Jane

I'm picturing this as you're describing it and yes, it had to have been hilarious. I think the owner was lucky to get the costume back in one piece.

Wow. Not cool. I bet it was fun to watch though and likely the dog that was wearing the costume was perhaps relieved it was gone for as short a time as it was. Who brings their dogs to the park with a costume on? I've put racing bibs on mine, so I can pick them out easily - but it doesn't impede their sight or mobility. Sheesh!
