So lately, Chase goes into these trembling fits...but it's more like when a person gets the shivers. He shakes for 2 secs and then stops...and he's normal for 5 secs....then he shakes for 2 secs....etc. It's really weird, it's not a cold thing cause he does it when he's all wrapped up on the couch...and it's not a scared thing...cause he does it everywhere even in the house, on his bed, while he's falling asleep.
Anyone have any ideas?

Weird, Roman did that the other day too. He was being really "needy" that day and he was getting in my way so I tried to get him to lay on his bed. He wouldn't listen to me, but he just sat there and shivered exactly how you described it. It hasn't happened since but I have no idea why it happened. I just chalked it up to him being a weirdo, but I'll be interested to see if anyone knows why they do it....

One of my dobies does it too. I don't know why. It's not medical, it's not because she's cold, she's not stressed...she just does. Just like what Chase is doing. I'd definitely get him checked out though just to rule out anything medical (I'm freaky that way!).

Our boy does this sometimes too but only when he thinks we are going out. The other day I was finishing up a call with my husband and said goodbye and our boy automatically thought I was leaving and started to shake. He is usually pretty good but when we spend alot of time with him and then return to work, the first day is touch and go.

Our Suzy does this sometimes when all our guys are out playing and running in our fenced yard. Her whole body just trembles. I asked my wife and she said that Suzy was just very excited.

Jen, I was thinking about this some more and Raven tends to do it when she's kind of holding herself up - laying down but kind of on all fours. She also does it when she's sometimes drifting off and again trying not to fall onto her side. Is Chase doing that at all?

Hey there!
I didn't see your message until today...anyways
Yeah i think it's a mix of 2 things. He does do it when he's holding himself up on the couch. But he also does it when he's nervous or anxious...but really he has no reason to be nervous or anxious...i don't know...he seems better when he gets a good run in...so i've resorted to going to a fenced in yard most days....this has also cured his peeing in the house....it takes some extra time in the day...but it's nice not to come home to a stained carpet.
