hi anyone- i have noticed a yellowish discharge at the tip of sy's private part a few minutes after he does his business (no. 1). sound familiar? i'm in the process of looking for a vet for sy (just got him 6 days ago) and i thought i'd check here first. let me know. thanks-

not sure if it's a problem, both my boys have this on occasion and it's usually milky looking, I assume it's notmal discharge. I think (and anyone else can throw in here) as long as it isin't green or strange looking/smelling, it is ok. I would give the vet a call and just ask if it is something that might be worth coming in for.

I think you should not be concerned. I had only male dogs for 35 years - rescue, puppies, working dogs, breeders etc... - they ALL had that milky thingy looking thing. I currently have 4 males and my first female. As gross as it sounds it is natural lubrication and cleaning discharge. Even the girl has something similar.
If he is not having any problems peeing (pain, blood in urine etc...) than he is just fine.

No need to worry unless it has an odour or he's licking excessively. All three of my boys have a slight discharge at times.
