I thought many of you would like to know how Cordal is doing.
Cordal is fitting in just fine! She had no 'transition period' at all. She came in just like she lived here before. Went right for the toys. Loves to play. Does zoomies in the morning and at night - in the living room.
Her first job of the day, after her walk of course, is to empty the toy bin! So, within 1/2 hour we have all 30 some toys on the living room floor around her and Dante's beds. I know what you are all thinking, only 30 some toys! Those poor deprived dogs. LOL
She slept in the crate for 2 nights in our bedroom, now she decides between the couch and our bed.
When Larry moved her crate out of the bedroom last night she saw herself in the dresser mirror for the first time. It was the funniest thing I've seen in a long time.
She'd stare, ears up, tail wagging, go in close, back up, go in close, back up then a little growl. She just couldn't figure out where the other dog was.
She has been doing stairs since the first 15 mins. she came to us.
Unfortunately she and Dante haven't been able to play much together because Dante has been sick. After another $1,000. in one day, to the vets he is home and on the mend so hopefully she'll see the 'real' Dante very soon. He gave us another scare and very stressful 12 hours.
With the kids back to school I can now take the time to focus a bit more on projects and get some photos of her. She is a cutie. She looks half the size of Dante. He weights 87 lbs. and she is a mere 50 something.
She has hair loss on her back end and a few other spots due to black flies, she was in the kennel for 8 months! That's how long our Earl was there too. Crazy people that over-looked her - they don't know what they missed.
We love her to death already.
Thank you everyone.
