I get a kick out of it when I capture a bunch of photos in sequence and it almost resembles a flip book... Here's Echo demonstrating the appropriate way to roll and romp in the grass: Step 1: Lay down and smile mischievously Step 2: Flop on your side Step 3: Roll back and forth; let out as many contented groans as possible Step 4: Do zoomies at full speed! No photos because all she is, is a blur when she gets to step 4. LOL

Substitute "practically nosedive into grass" for "lay down", and "rub muzzle" for some of those contented groans, and you have ... Piper! Great picture series.

how do you manage to have such a lush lawn with vowels running all over? Take a quarter acre of lawn, add 2 big bags of lawn seed, the Scotts Turfbuilder program, and some magical weeds that don't seem to mind the abuse... then add three older dogs who don't run in circles anymore and 1 dog who still does = a lawn that fakes it pretty well. What we don't show here are the "pee" spots on the lawn and the dead spots from the heat.

She's so cute! I love the last photo - all feet in the air! Just curious - why isn't she muzzled like the others?

She's so cute! I love the last photo - all feet in the air! Just curious - why isn't she muzzled like the others? A few reasons really: She has nubs for teeth from her crate chewing days so is no threat to anyone.. except maybe her stuffies; and has no interest in playing with the others. She goes outside and either potties and rushes back in or she'll flop in the grass, do her little show above, and pass out. I'm always outside with them when they go. The boys will go off and do the play thing while she will hang with me. Oh and sometimes after they've done their thing and are all sprawled, I'll take their muzzle off long enough to snap a few photos of them outside.

I wonder if it's a female thing...the no interest in playing with the others...Gigi's like that too...with greyhounds and other dogs.
