Lisa we have a play group in Waterloo that meets on weekends when the weather is OK. Ask Tina for info, she knows all about it. We would like to see you out there when you get your pup or before if you would like to come out and see them run. Linda Hey Linda that is great that there is a group so close. I was hoping for that so that I could let my pup kick up his/her heels with other greys. Sounds ideal. I've heard of people in meet up groups chipping in together to rent out an enclosed stable, etc for an hour or so to let their dogs have that kind of run room in the winter. Ever done that? Lisa

No Lisa we have not done anything like that. There are not too many who come out in the winter. We always seem to go on the wrong day and are the only ones there lately. That's another reason having two is better. They still will run with each other. In the summer there are many more who make it out for the run.

Lisa There are a couple of groups in S.Ont who do this. kjw organizes one up in the Barrie area and there's a second one in the Oshawa area... that we know of. The Londoners had one started, we only went out a couple of times and then didn't pursue it.

Hi to Tina, Eric, Jenn and the whole greyhound clan; Emily and I had such a good time when we met all of you today. Who knew that you could have 8 dogs (and 5 people) in one livingroom and have them be soooo friendly and well behaved! They are all just adorable from oldest to youngest! You all put smiles on our faces! I think I might have tried to put one in my pocket if it could have fit! ;D Can't wait to have a grey of my own! Thank you so much. I can't say it enough! Lisa

Hi Lisa! I am in Maryhill which is right down the street from you! My hubby and I have 4 cats and 3 greyhound (I am soooo desperately trying for a forth). You are more than welcome to come and visit my gang too. We have a mix of personalities here - 1 grey is an ol' docile senior, one is a bouncy love-bug and one is afraid of everything but mom and dad. They all get along with the cats but the cats only tolerate them (ie there is no interspecies snuggling). You are more than welcome to visit our zoo anytime!

Hi there Mulitiplicity, You are just a hop, skip and a jump down the road! I sort of drive by your area along Woodlawn Rd a couple times a week. Gee, this is great to have so many grey owners nearby. For sure, we'll have to get together. I have to work tomorrow in Mississauga all day so this weekend is out, but we'll figure something out. Glad to hear you've had success blending your grey and cat family. I don't imagine my cat will be snuggling too much with a dog no matter how nice he or she is, but that isn't his style anyways; he doesn't even snuggle with another cat. Nearby os close enough for him. I'll drop you an email and feel free to email me. Bye for now, Lisa P.S. I hope everyone got to enjoy the sunshine today. I was outside for 4.5 hours walking Humane Society dogs...whew! I am tired but the fresh air was great! ;D
