Those are awesome pics!! How big is the kiddie pool and how do you get them in it? I want to get one for my guys but neither like the bathtub so I was worried they wouldn't like the pool.

We have a couple of cabana boys for Emily!! Does she prefer tall, light and handsome? Or might she like the strong, silent type?

With respect to the pool, it might be a tight fit with two or more pups. It looks like sdsandiford has the same one - perhaps she can chime in. It was $10 at Canadian Tire. For a few dollars more, you can get one that's a bit bigger. On the other hand, there was an even smaller one at Petsmart for $8.
Emily doesn't really like baths either but when she dipped in the creek during one of our walks last week, we thought it was time to give it a try. We returned from a walk the following day, dirty from the dried up creek muck; we filled the pool and told her to jump in; she ran circles around the yard, confused as to what was expected of her; finally, I just leashed her and led her in (she's very docile on lead). She need not be coaxed anymore!
As for cabana boys, I'm not really sure what her type is. She can be so secretive... What if she says both?

Yeah, we got ours from Canadian tire last summer ($10 sounds about right). Two large dogs definitely can't fit in it, but they can take turns . None of our dogs like baths but, for some reason, will eagerly step into or lie down in the pool. Stuey only drinks out of it, but Jack will spend several minutes at a time in it. He thinks it's his. $10 is a great investment to keep the dogs cool on a hot day.

Oh, all these pics are fabulous! Not one of our greys like the pool!!! We bought one for our first boy, Tex, and he didn't like it so we gave it away. Then we got our "new" 3 greys so we bought another pool and none of them like it either!!!

We have that pool too only it doesn't get used for much more than standing in or an over sized water dish. Its kinda funny though because last year at the picnic, both Joe and Eli loved the pool (especially Joe ) so we went to CT and bought them a pool. All they'd do was stand in it. Take them to the beach and they love the lake....maybe "their" pool water is too clean? Silly boys! It good to know that at least some hounds get good use out of their pools.

One of the local newspapers features a dog every two weeks - usually a puppy or a small breed doing something cute or quirky.
I figured it was time we saw a distinguished-looking dog, for a change! So, a couple of months ago, I submitted the first picture from above. We were in the middle of a heatwave. It seemed appropriate.
I'd just about given hope of seeing her in the pages of that rag, but to my surprise, there she was in today's edition!
Now, about that heatwave...
