This past week Chevy has started peeing on his food dish once he is finished his food. What is this all about? He and my other 2 greys all eat their meals in their raised dishes together (always have), sometimes sampling each others, without any issues. Could it have anything to do with his recovery from his surgery (intestinal obstruction) and the fact that he is soooo thin? Aside from this he typically does not pee in the house...but he is quite the marker outside and at other people's homes.

I've noticed that type of behaviour sometimes at the kennel...I don't know why...I would remove his dish right after he's finished and let him out immediately.

Could be marking behaviour "This is MY dish"? As mecki says, we see this often at the kennel.. just last Saturday, Kami had peed in his dish filling it up about a centimeter but not making a mess anywhere else in his crate.
The only time one of mine has done this was when we were packing to go camping and Atlas expressed his displeasure with us packing. He peed all over their water dish while I was standing right in front of him.
