Hi all. My wife and I are considering to adopt a retired greyhound. We will live near the Sunnybrook area. Do you know if the the dog park in Sunnybrook is well-fenced enough to let a greyhound run offleash? I find it kind of sad to have a dog, bred to run, to never be able to run offleash ever again under my care. Thanks!!

There are leash free parks in Toronto(always walk the perimeter first, to check), and there are fun run groups in the GTA. I started a group called the SSGG, we run weekends just north of Bradford, there's another one in Mississauga, and there used to be one in Norwood in Toronto. Check out the subforum on the topic! gracanada.proboards.com/board/13/greyhound-play-groups

I haven't been there in at least 5 or 6 years but it wasn't 100% fenced in the last time I was there. It was fenced on three sides but the back went into a treed area and didn't have a fence along it. I used to take the dogs frequently to walk there but never actually used the dog park because of this. Maybe they've changed it since then.
