I know Tisa is probably extremely busy with work, volunteering & raising a family, but I really do miss The Hound of the Week that she & Harris always did pictures for & described the hounds personality. I noticed all the girls have been adopted...so I am presently cheering for Lodge (such a handsome fella & I cannot believe someone returned him), Raphael as he just has the most awesome markings and Jim as he has some crazy eyes in his pictures!
Hope the remaining fellas find their couches soon!

I loved that feature too. I thought Lodge was striking as well, and I also love the close up of Sal's nose! There are some really beautiful brindles in the mix too.

I also miss "Hound of the Week" as it gave would be adopters who do not live near the GRA Kennel to get a little bit of insight about the pup. I understand fully that it is time consuming but I believe in the long run it would help find the greys waiting to get to their Forever Homes quicker.

Such a nice group of boys! (The photo of Bing pulls at my heartstrings). Wish there was more space, more time, and more freedom in life to have one (or two) more. *sigh* (Maybe a 'hound-of-the-month' or 'hound of the bi-month(?)' could work better for those involved?)

I too miss the "Hound of the Week" feature. All the boys waiting for their Forever Homes are beautiful. Sometimes the ones that don't show themselves really well make the best pets.

I agree, it was really nice to read up on the personalities of the pups waiting for homes! Not to mention having more pictures. I will never complain about more pictures!

I like the first shot of Frisko and Sal's nose shot. I do hope these boys find their forever homes soon.

I agree, I miss Hound of the Week too. I loved reading about their personalities, the pictures are great but the write-ups added that little extra touch. As for the adoptables on the site right now, they are all gorgeous (as usual...haven't seen an ugly grey yet...I don't think they exist), I would bring a couple home if I had any space left...Redwood caught my eye right away with his one folded ear and one rose ear (just like my Lanny) and the ridge of hair running up his snout (just like my Lab Cedar), he looks like a mix of both my dogs quirky traits. I wish I could have him join the pack but I don't have room for 3 dogs, a cat, 2 kids and a hubby in the house...maybe it is time to put an addition on the house...oh if only money grew on trees. I do miss hound of the week, I hope all the boys find awesome homes. I know the boys are bigger than the girlies but I sure do love my sweet grey boy...he can curl into a very tiny ball and is so calm and quiet in the house...did I mention how awesome greyhounds are

I know what you mean about the greys curling up into little balls - although my Owen isn't as big a boy as many of the others, I'm still amazed at how tiny he can make himself when need be (like when he wants to sleep in the smallest living room chair...) Of course they are all greyt at stretching out to 6 feet long when they want to as well!
