I am on my 2nd jar from Costco & the black coats are sparkly & no dandruff flakes. Anyone who pets my dogs comments on how soft they are. Even my piggy gets some to keep her coat & skin flake free.

Thanks for posting all this info John. Due to the FB discussion I went out to Costco and bought a tub. I gave them a little spoonful today for the first time. Definite reading for this weekend. If I have any questions, will let you know.
P.S My hubby also makes some horrible looking smoothy with kale, grapes, other ingredients and coconut oil. I don't like any type of thick drink so I don't know how he can drink that! But I'm sure it's really healthy, I just can't do it.

Gunner what dosage are you giving and the weight of your pups? I give my gang a tbsp each with their supper, I don't want to risk diarrhea & I have to be careful with calories for the piggy. That minimal amount seems to be quite beneficial & it makes a jar last a long time too.

Crafty can handle a Tbsp and I'm not brave enough to try more. Haha. She weighs 64 pounds.

I have put a heaping tablespoonful of virgin organic cold pressed coconut oil in Onyx's food since I got him back in December. Everybody always remarks on how black, soft and dandruff free he is. I got my new black girl on Aug 10th and her coat was in terrible shape; very coarse, dull and full of dandruff. She gets a tablespoonful a day as well and Boy! Has her fur gotten drastically better already! She is on the way to Onyx level of awesome fur! I really also believe coconut oil to be of aid to her in her leg stiffness and slight limp she was displaying when I got her. She rarely has any stiffness now. I think I might try the toothpaste out on them. I use coconut oil and baking soda myself a couple of times a week and I also drink something called bullet proof coffee which is hailed to increase mental and physical performance. It sounds nasty but it really is delicious. Coffee, coconut oil and unsalted butter with sweetener or sugar to taste mixed with an immersion blender so it is nice and creamy. You don't need milk as the dairy in the butter lightens the coffee. It really does keep a person brighter eyed and better focused for longer in the day!

I also rub the coconut oil on the pads of their feet! We call it a "padicure". It definitely helps with drying amd cracking.

Wine is DEFINITELY always the way to go! LOL Followed closely by drinks that have tiny umbrellas and hard liquor!
