This is a trial currently being held at UPenn, which is only about 5 hours from here. It's for dogs that have NOT undergone amputation, they have closed the trial for dogs that have had amputation and so far the results look pretty darn good, although the sample size is small. If I had a hound with an early diagnosis I think I would be giving this trial serious consideration. Darn. Abby was diagnosed 4 months ago. It is too late for her. I may have been interested in going.
As an update she is doing OK. She is on some pain meds and seems to be pain free as far as we can tell. She is carrying on as usual.
I hope the trail has some positive results.
