Our Violet is definately a character! She often likes to rearrange things in the house, often shoes. There are some days I have to hunt for my shoes (which I leave at the front door) :-/because Violet has seen it fit to place them in various places throughout the house. We currently have our house for sale. The other evening, an agent came to our house to present an offer. When she went to leave, her shoes were missing. I reassured her that Violet only likes to "move things around a little." Never has Violet ever chewed or damaged one of our shoes. We guess that Violet didn't like the offer that the agent was presenting because....well...her shoes didn't fare well. Violet chewed the heels such that the lady would be walking on nails, instead of the heel. Of course we apologized profusely and offered to replace them!

Earl does the same but has never damaged them. He takes them into the living room and drops them. I figure he does that so by the time you find your shoe he's at the front door waiting for you! lol

LOL That's one way to reject an offer.

Generally it's my girl Dagny who is the shoe fiend. One night we had a little party with guests depositing their shoes in the front vestibule. I usually close the door to that area but forgot that night. Dagny set a record: 13 shoes all nicely positioned around her on my bed. She KNOWS she is doing this. She has a sheepish grin on her face when it comes to retrieval time. And, unlike my former cell phone that my boy Galt used as his personal bone, not a shoe is ever damaged. (I had to explain to Galt that I am on Telus, not the 'Fido' system...)
