So sorry to read about Tianna's mishap. Hoping the healing process is on track and she feels good as new in no time.

Poor Tiana. Heal quickly sweet girl. That must have quite the event but you handled it admirably for your girl.

Hi everyone, I just thought I would let you all know that Miss Tiana has healed up nicely and is back to doing zombies in the yard when she is outside by herself (well, she was before the ice got uncovered again).
Temperament wise, a very interesting thing has happened....she continues to get picked on by Rio and Mirage as she was before, but with Mr. Merlin, who is the one who bit her, Tiana has become rather dominant, especially in the bedroom where the bite happened. In particular, if she is in the bedroom lying down on that side of the bed (which is on the opposite side of where her crate is, but is on the side where his bed is, and is facing the entrance to the bedroom) and Merlin tries to come into the bedroom to either jump onto our bed to rest or even walk past her, she growls and barks very loudly at him until he leaves (which he usually does...Merlin is typically a very passive lovable dog who wants no trouble). Tiana has exhibited behavior like this before, but only when she is "resource guarding" like a Cooke or her dinner, at which point we take the food away from her. I am not sure now if she is "guarding" the space as I do know she prefers to lie in Merlin's bed during the day, or if she is just asserting her dominance over him....the thing is, she only does this with him and not the others. Hmmmm. In any event, I am correcting her, and keeping a close eye on it, and muzzles may need to come out again...just in case...but at least she is not scared!

Glad to hear that Tiana has healed up well and back to herself. On one hand, she has every reason to be on alert and a little vocal for getting bitten but I also know (as you) that having multi hounds you need to be on top of any complaining. Just really glad your sweet Tiana is doing just fine, thanks for the update.
