I haven't been on here for awhile but not sure if anyone would remember our Govie, our crazy funny brindle. Sadly Govie died suddenly at home laying on his large pillow infront of the patio door; his favourite spot. We think it was a heart attach as it happen so fast. Govie was 12 years old and was really slowing down and even not enjoying going for walks. Govie passed away on his own terms without any pain. We will miss him but it helps knowing that he didn't suffer. Lutie our other grey seems to be adjusting to the loss of Govie.

I'm so sorry for your loss of Govie. You have the comfort in knowing that he left on his own terms, so many of us don't lose our greys in that manner. I remember Govie and Lutie, such a lovely pair. RIP Govie and keep watch over Lutie.

So sorry to hear of your loss. The suddeness must be a shock for you and your family. But as Troysmom said, there is comfort in knowing that it was his time, he left on his terms, and departed without pain and suffering. Bless him.
Godspeed Govie.

I'm so sorry to hear about Govie's passing. Even though Govie passed away "on his own terms", I know it's still very heartbreaking whenever one of these beautiful souls passes away. His spirit will always live on in your heart.
Godspeed sweet boy Govie. Hugs to your family and Lutie.

I do remember both your hounds Govie & Lutie. I am so sorry for your loss - to lose them suddenly is hard on us but in the end it's the best way for your beloved pet. He knew he was dearly loved and he will be in your heart forever. Hugs to you, scratches to Lutie. RIP Govie.

So sorry for your loss, it sounds like he just decided it was time to make the trip, and what better way than on a comfy pillow doing what they do best, relaxing. No matter how it is still heartbreaking and I know you must be having a hard time. Keep his memories in the front of your mind and he will never be far away. God Bless

I'm sorry for your loss. It doesn't seem to matter how long we have them, it's never long enough. Govie left you in his favourite place on his own terms. Not many are given this chance. He will live forever in your heart. R.I.P. Govie.

Please tell Dave that Don and I are so sorry for the loss of Govie. We have good memories of the many days we spent running the dogs at NCR. Run free sweet Govie.

I'm so sorry to hear about Govie. So wonderful that he lived a long life and there will be so many memories to cherish. I think it was Govie and Lutie that ventured onto a frozen lake? God speed Govie. We have many wonderful souls waiting for you.

I am so very sorry for your sudden loss of Govie. It is so lovely that he went in his very favourite spot, basking in the sunlight, in no pain, knowing he was loved. I hope that eventually this knowledge will help ease some of your pain...

I remember both your furbabies, and I'm so sorry that Gov had to leave. He was well loved for many years.
Run free at the bridge, Gov, with all our bridge angels.
