Your boy was such a lovely dog, and what a great ambassador for greyhounds everywhere.
So lovely to see him taking the pup under his wing.
He'll be happy and pain free with his greyhound and doggie friends.

I'm so sorry for your loss. What a beautiful story and equally beautiful photos of your boy. He looked incredibly happy. What a wonderful life you shared together. I hope these many happy memories provide some comfort as you adjust to life without him. But, as you said, he's with you in spirit and always will be.
Godspeed sweet Troy.

I am so very sorry that you have to go through this awful time, but you are not alone there is one very handsome boy watching to make sure you will be o.k. Don't discount that feeling that he is with you, listen carefully with our heart and you will know for sure that he is right there with you.
You wrote a beautiful tribute to a very special boy.

Erika, Troy was even more beautiful on the inside than he was on the outside and that would be difficult to beat. Every dog should be so lucky to have such a wonderful life! I know for a fact that you love him with all of your heart and soul, you did everything that was right by Troy. You traded his pain for your own, it doesn't get more selfless than that.
Thank you for sharing your memories of Troy and a few very important pictures. You did a beautiful job. Mere words can not express how deeply we love, miss and grieve. Your Tribute to Troy is felt deeply by all of us!!! Mic

Erika you gave Troy (and still give Leo and Ghost) an amazing loving home. I think he fought so hard in the end just to stay with his mum a little longer. He may be physically gone now but he's still with you in your heart and he's gonna help you and James 'move on'. Don't you worry! Goodness I will never forget him running full blast across ceramic and hardwood to meet James at the front door! What a dog!

He was a sweet and gentle dog with a big heart. The deep and special bond we share with our pets makes the pain of their passing just as deep. Heartfelt condolences to you and your family.
