Hi all! I bring home my very first greyhound on Dec 18 (Nemo!) and I'm looking for any other greyhound owners or groups in the Milton/Oakville/Georgetown/Guelph area? Would love to pick your brain on all things greyhound related - and Nemo would like a friend! Thanks

We live in Mississauga, not really in the area but I thought I would let you know. We have one girl Trixie but are picking up two more girls this Saturday - Connie and Lucky. Will be happy to keep in touch

Thanks renaldo - Apparently there's a really good dog park at Erin Centre/Erin mills - have you been?

I have never been but a friend lives right next door and it is well fenced. We worry about other dogs not behaving so we tend to take ours only to greyhound events. Perhaps we could talk, I will PM you

Congrats on adopting Nemo. He came in on the same truck as my boy did so we saw him when we went to the kennel. He was a beauty.

whiterin ... congratulations on adopting Nemo aka Express Louis. He is a gorgeous boy and quite the little world traveler as well. He and his two brothers came to the States directly from Ireland .... that's a rarity these days. They continued their racing careers at Wheeling Downs, WV. The one brother, Express Hondo, went to the Chicago area for adoption, Express Simon is continuing his racing at Palm Beach, Florida. As of November 30th, he has 168 races to his name. And of course Nemo came to Canada.
Here is the link if you would like to see their pedigrees/racing, etc.http://www.greyhound-data.com/d?z=YPugsP&d=express+louis&x=27&y=7
So congrats again and welcome to the forum.

We're in Cambridge but Milton is a quick 20 minutes from us - not sure if Milton has any leash free?

I just found out there's a leash free just off James Snow - Once Nemo is all settled we will have to set something up for sure! Chudleigh's is very close Can't wait to meet you and your pups!

I'm in brampton but go to Milton, Acton and Georgetown area a lot. I believe Fairy Lake leash free in Acton is still reserved Sunday's at 2 pm for greyhounds only. I went 5 years ago when I first got Troy, big area to run but haven't been since.
