I'm amazed you could get a picture of all 4 sitting, smiling, looking in the same direction, evenly spaced and Edie even has his ears up! This must have been at the beginning of the wedding before the partying got going!!

Congratulations!! You have a beeeyoouuuteeeful family!!! And you are also an awesome photographer, and must have opposable thumbs , in order to hold a pear and snap the picture!! Boy, they must REALLY love pears!! I didn't realize that pears posed such a temptation, that they could inspire such intense scrutiny and desire -- maybe the forbidden fruit in Eden was pears?!? Seriously, that is a gorgeous picture. Thanks for sharing!!

Hi Greypoopon! (LUV your username, by the way. Can't read it or type it without guffawing! ;D) Tell us about the big GreyTalk wedding. (BTW, I tried to quote the first sentence of your August 16th post under this thread, but I can't figure out how to do so, and would really appreciate it if some kind soul could show pity on poor stupid ole me and describe [type really SLOWLY and use only one-syllable words! ] how to use the quote feature.) {Type slowly is a reference to the now defunct TV show M*A*S*H, a classic if ever there was one. In one episode, Radar is writing a letter to his Mom back home in Iowa. He is heard dictating the letter in a voice-over throughout the show. In the letter he says that he is writing slowly because he knows that she doesn't read fast!!!} I've ventured over onto GreyTalk, but it is BIG and SCARY and VERY INTIMIDATING!!!! So please fill me in on the wedding. Was it a wedding for dogs or for their people? Anyone from GRA Forum involved? Come on, I need details!!! LOL, Anna and Dotty

I tried to quote the first sentence of your August 16th post under this thread, but I can't figure out how to do so Instead of choosing "reply" at the bottom of the message, select "quote" from the top right. You'll have to delete the text you don't want. Not just big and scary, but a major time sink. The wedding was between two hounds: Free to Run and Peatie. It was all virtual, and quite entertaining for the instigator (Free to Run's human, whose GT name is bonscoby), and her correspondents. Peatie's human (GT name GreyhoundTrish) was less involved because her real life got busy. Since you're new to GT, the easiest way to find stuff is to go into the Cute and Funny forum, and look back through the pages for wedding-related topics. Most were started by bonscoby, although the ceremony topic was started by GreyhoundTrish. If you want to use up several days, look back a few months. For example, there's a topic from bonscoby entitled "Peatie....I sure am missing you" in which the last post was March 29. Let us know when you surface.

Instead of choosing "reply" at the bottom of the message, select "quote" from the top right THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!! GreyTalk Not just big and scary, but a major time sink. You ain't just whistling dixie! I lose all track of time when I visit GreyTalk! It's like those casinos where (I hear) that they don't have any clocks and you lose track of whether it's day or night! I got reading the thread on Grey's Anatomy and wasted more time than I'd care to admit! Now I'll pop on over and check out the virtual wedding action!! Too bad I didn't have a life of my own. Oh well, at least I can live vicariously through someone else's!! Thanks again for explaining how to use the quote feature. I feel like I've been driving my car for a year now and somebody finally showed me where the cruise control button was!!! Lots of Love, Anna

Okay, here I am replying to my own post. Is that kosher?!? I told you I didn't have a life! So -- here's the deal: I (thought) I did what you said, and pressed quote and deleted the extraneous info, but why, oh why, doesn't my quote of your words come out in a box/border, and introduced with "Greypoopon said in post such-in-such..." Do I have to type that intro? How do I get it in a box/border? And while you're answering questions, why am I so stupid? And while I'm asking questions, is there any way to access the awesome emoties that they use over on GreyTalk, here in GRA Forum? I figure that you all know by now that I am completely and totally, utterly computer illiterate (to me, "url" is just three letters in the word "hurl", which is what I want to do when I have to face a computer!) and that I cannot possibly embarrass myself any more than I already have, so why not let it all hang out and ask all the really burning questions. Thanks one and all for your patience. Greyhounds really do attract a nicer breed of people!! LOL, Anna and Dotty

pressed quote and deleted the extraneous info, but why, oh why, doesn't my quote of your words come out in a box/border When you delete the excess, make sure it still starts with [ quote ] or [ quote author (and so on), and ends with [ /quote ]. Note that the spaces should not be there--I had to put them so you could see the words. As far as I know, the emoties are limited to those above the editing window. It might be possible to add others as pictures--some people do that on GreyTalk--but I don't think you need to learn that now.
