Right now we have Finn on a 50/50 kibble/raw diet, which I plan to eventually go 100 percent raw when I have this all figured out, but I have a question about what types of organs to feed him.
I had bought a whole chicken (cut into servings) and he loved that, bones and all. Had a bit of a gargly tummy a few hours after but that didn't last long. He loves ground beef, but I had bought a package of beef liver and he would not eat it. I ordered in some turkey necks and chicken feet from a local butcher here in Barrie and are picking them up tomorrow and want to talk to him about other various body parts he can get in for me. LOL What do you raw feeders recommend? If he wasn't interested in the beef liver do you think he would eat chicken liver, or what about chicken heart?

They should have some liver in the diet...but you can grind it up (yuck!) or chop and mix with other meats and they will usually scarf it up. It isn't an organ, but IMO heart (preferably beef...or lamb) is one of the better meats to feed. It is very nutrient dense, and is a cheap source of red muscle meat. I just got a mince that has spleen, liver, lung, heart, kidney and tripe. Normally though I just add a bit of liver and kidney and they are fine on that. Also, if you can just get "trim" from the butcher that can be good source of boneless meat.

Brenda, do more reading before adding organs, that's one of the last things to introduce. Come and talk to me next Saturday, also check our website and and forum for tips , that will start you off. If you give organs at this point, you will have a mess on your hands, stick with muscle meat, and try one for 2 weeks, only introducing a new protein when he's firm. www.freewebs.com/awesomepaws/abouttherawdiet.htmawesomepaws.proboards.com/index.cgi

Oh okay. I think I have read TOO much on the raw diet, and you do get some conflicting ideas on what you should and should not feed. Thanks Karen, and we will see you at the run on Saturday.

Raw food diet is a good idea. It is more rich in vitamins, protein, and nutritions. I also used raw foods diet now a days because I have known the importance of the raw foods diet.
