The House of Earl is sponsoring walkers to support Greyhound Adoption. The application has been sent in and once confirmed it's a go. At this point I have 12 greyhounds ready to participate. If you don't have a greyhound that's okay - 2 people will be needed to carry the banner and if permitted we will need helpers to hand out information along the parade route.
Water, cool down bandanas will be provided to all walkers including the greys and paw balm will be supplied for the greys paws to help their little paws from the heat of the pavement. Small Canadian Flags will also be supplied.
Following the parade we will be having a BBQ and social get-together.
Once confirmation has been received details will be posted and emailed to our interested hounds!
Here is a little information about the parade in Cambridge, Ontario:
Cambridge is host to the nation's largest Canada Day Parade, along with all day entertainment, a variety of children's activities, topped off with a phenomenal display of fireworks at dusk (approximately 9:45 pm)
If you would be interested in walking with us please PM me or email me.
Thanks! Liz

I should add that the BBQ and social meet-up will not beheld at the park unless I can secure one of the areas far from the noise of the rides etc. On the website the organizers also ask that dogs not be brought to the park due to the fact that they have a petting zoo? Okay, well I'm ignoring that one - it's a public park so they really can't stop dogs from coming to the park. It is a huge park so there is lots of room away from the rides, etc. Fireworks won't be an issue unless someone decides to stay there for the whole day. Liz
