If you are adding flax seed oil to your hounds diet, how much are you giving them? The instructions on the bottle say 1 tblsp. Thanks

I've read that they actually absorb or digest an animal-based oil, such as herring oil, better than a plant based oil, but I'm not a subject matter expert at all! Maybe a someone more knowledgeable might be able to give a more informed input...

I've read that too and the vet recommended omega 3 from fish sources for Jazz for her arthritis

They already get Omega 3 from fish sources, the flax seed oil is an add-on, hopefully to help their coats.

Both my greys are black, I rub them down with velvet (material) gets rid of loose flakes and makes their coats shine, as well as omega 3. They love the rub down with velvet tho, I just buy used clothing made of the velvet.
