The GRA Reunion Picnic was today at the farm. Here are a few pics. Betsy ("Oh no, I'm in a car, pant pant pant!") and Edie ("Are we there yet?") on the way: There were a few vendors: The kennel was open for adoptions: This is Easy, a broodie available for adoption: And there were lots of people and hounds visiting. Here's the greys4us crew: The black boy on the left is Scram. I had a big crush on him when he was listed on the web site. This is meganm and her boys Gibson and Fire: What's this--the world's hairiest grey? (I think it's a Bouvier, but I didn't ask.) When it all got to be too much, a hot dog could cool off in a pool. Here's Edie making herself right at home: Later, Edie, Betsy, and Easy were all in the pool together. The big puddle is from Betsy pawing the water to cool off like a horse:

Nice shots! We missed seeing you, got held up and did not arrive until 2pm. Our boys sure had a good time, we even tried a little agility after the crowd thinned out a bit. What a hoot!
Thanks to Tina, Jen, and all the volunteers who work so hard for the hounds, and of course Bill. It was great to see everyone!
Went to visit poor little Andy in the barn, and now of course he's on my mind. If I can figure out a way to expand the number of dogs I can transport in my vehicle, and no one ends up taking him, I may have to go back and see Bill. I can't stand the fact that he's been there so long, with no home to go to.

I saw him out for a visit with some people; he sure is a cutie.

We had a great time and it was fun meeting so many people and their hounds! Thought we would add a few pictures also. Day and mom Zooks, Banjo and Nina Banjo with mom and dad Eddy,Jana and Cassidy (laying down) This one wasn't taken at the picnic, but we hadn't had all 6 in the xpen before, so we had to make sure there was enough room! ;D Clockwise from the top: Lacey, Nauti, Eddy, Brandy, Jordie, and Scram in the centre.

awesome pictures, I must say we had such a nice time at the picnic. Willow and Greely were zonked for the rest of the day, we didn't even go for our evening walk. It was nice to see everyone and their beautiful hounds.

What greyt pics! I am sorry that I couldn't make it out...Devin is still a "poopmeister" and I didn't think leaving him behind and all alone would help the situation. I'm glad that some puppers found their forever homes!

We had a GREYT time at the picnic on Saturday. Banjo was pooped for the rest of the day! He loves his new red collar and he now can't wait to get into the car - he always goes somewhere special where there are other greyhounds! This morning we walked around the Off Leash Dog Park at Meadowlilly Conservation Area off Hamilton Road in London, and he is now TOTALLY exhausted.
We met lots of wonderful greys and their pet people on Saturday. Thanks to all the volunteers who make this all happen.
We are seriously thinking of getting a friend for Banjo so next time we see you all perhaps Banjo will have a friend. See you in Springbank Park on July 14th at 7:00 p.m., for those of you who join us there once a month.

Liz, Harry and Banjo Don't forget to check out Andy when you're looking for some company for Banjo. We spent some time with him on Saturday, and he is a very special boy, just looking for the right home. I've been considering bringing him home myself, as he's been there so long, but the timing is really bad for us right now. I suspect he is an amazing dog who will flourish with a little TLC and time. And that tiny bit of Roman in his nose makes him irresistable!

I hope he finds his family soon.

I'll post the pictures and *video* I took later today I got a great video of Betsy swimming in the pool!!!!!! We had a wonderful time, but the pups were exhausted! Nina is getting used to her new harness and I think its a good change. She can be a little nuts on walks, and I'm always worried she'll back out of her collar - again. It was wonderful meeting everyone!
