Anyone interested in a walk in the beautiful town of Stratford Ontario? There is a walk planned for Saturday December 16th at 2:00 pm. Come out and enjoy a nice 30-45 min walk around the meandering river park. We will be meeting at the arena parking lot. Hope you can make it. If you would like more info please ask. Thanks Tara P.S. there is a great doggie bakery in Stratford called "The Barkery".

I'll talk to Ren and see if he wants to go up there for a walk. I haven't been to Stratford in a while, I'd like to go. The Barkery is awesome

Valerie, Matt, and I will be there. One word of caution. There is a lot of construction in Stratford right now. Erie St. may be open by December 16th. Downie St. to Waterloo St. to Lakeside Drive to the Arena might be a better route but there is construction around the Waterloo St. bridge. So far it is on the far side at William St.

Oh, sounds like fun! Maybe it is time for Gigi and I to visit my hometown for a walk. Who knows may even convince my Dad (who still lives in Stratford) to come out for the walk too if it is not too cold. We will keep it in mind.

Some good news - Erie Street in Stratford is now open both ways. Waterloo St. at William St. is still closed as far as I know but at least Erie St. is finally open. It will make things a lot easier for motorists and the businesses that have been trying to operate these last many months.
I am hoping the weather is good for the December 16th walk.

Well it doesn't look like we will be able to make it - rats. There have been changes made to my daughter's riding lesson time in December due to the holidays etc so she has a lesson at 12 on Dec 16, north of Oakville - so there is no way I can be in Stratford by 2 unless I get my retro rackets fixed on my car

Just a reminder that this Saturday (Dec 16) is the Stratford walk at 2:00pm. We are meeting at the William Allman Memorial Arena on Morenz Dr. Directions from Highway 7 (London, St.Marys, Strathroy Follow Highway 7 into Stratford (Erie Street) to Ontario Street (where Highway7/8 split - downtown) and turn right. Take Ontario Street to Niles Street (I believe it is first street past Waterloo - Tim Horton's). Turn left onto Niles Street which then becomes Morenz Dr. The forecast is for a light drizzle but it is to be warm so hopefully we can have a good turn out. Ty can't wait! See you all there. Another way to the arena is to stay on Erie Street, go straight through the lights at Ontario St. towards the river to Veterans Drive. This is a curve to the right. This road is parallel to the river. Go through the lights at Waterloo St. On the right you will pass the lawn bowling club and the Kiwanis Centre. The parking lot is between the Centre and the Arena.
By staying on Erie St. you will avoid having to do a left turn off Ontario to Nile St.
If you are coming from Kitchener-Waterloo area, turn right at the lights at Front and Ontario Sts. Go to the end of Front St. and turn left. The arena is the first building past the condominium apartment building and the parking lot is just past that on the left.
I am keeping my fingers crossed for good weather.
