Every morning, I take Azi and my human baby (my son Nikhil!) for a long walk or a bike ride.
Unfortunately, I'm notorious for forgetting things before I leave the house. So this morning I kept dashing around the house, grabbing things and doing things before I left for our walk. First, I needed my warm vest. Then, the baby's mitts. Then, the baby pooped so I had to undress him and change his diaper.
Finally, after I took my runners off for the second time to check a number in the phone book I hear a light "THUNK" on the living room floor.
I look up from my desk to see Azi staring at me with pleading eyes. In front of her is one running shoe.
The look on her face was absolutely priceless. God, I love her.

Awwwww! How sweet. My previous dog used to do that. I loved it! And whenever I left her home alone, she'd get a shoe and take it onto the couch with her. I suppose it comforted her.
