Due to the death of my grandmother this morning :'(and the need to go to Michigan for 2 days, Outta will be returning to the kennel on Sunday morning for a sleep over. (Thanks of course to Bills kindness in agreeing to take her for us) I just wanted to let everyone know incase some of you want to say hello to her and see how great she is doing. Just like a momma, I am worried that she will be scared and feel abandoned though. Does anyone have any advice on how I can make the time away easier for her? Thanks in advance Debbie

Make sure you take her bed or blankets that have your family's sent on it as well as her toys. Anything that is a comfort to her at home besides the couch. Even send her treats and food r things with your scent will be most comforting to her.

I took Karma back to the kennel for boarding about 3 times. He's always excited to see his friend Bill! The first two times he did fine, but the last time, he wouldn't eat - tipped his bowl over and was very sad.
I agree with the suggestion of his own blankie - I'm sure that will help. Two days isn't very long, so I'm sure he'll be fine.
We now have a really good situation with friends who have a sharpei and we babysit back and forth.
Did you know that Freddie is doing inhouse dogsitting now? That would be a greyt option to explore if the kenneling doesn't work out.
