I know it's, once again, been quite a while since I've been on the web site...some may remember my babies - I'm the proud Mom of Brin (aka Bricklane Baby), Katzar (aka Katzak Dimero) and Zippadelli (aka Eagle)...anyway, I was wondering if anyone else experiences the total excitement of a pup? Zip gets so excited for walks (or to go to day camp...or that you come back downstairs after being gone a whole 5 minutes ) that he actually shivers with anticipation. Not only does he shiver, he actually chatters his teeth!!! He can't stay still for one second, his whole body is quivering, his teeth chatter like it's -40 and he's been outside for hours and his tail (trust me, when it hits your leg it hurts!) goes 90 mph!! Anyone else's pups get this excted? I'm thinking of getting him a mouth guard so he doesn't chip any teeth so if you know of a doggy dentist I'd be happy to hear about it

Three of my girls are chatterers: Piper, Jessie, and Tally. The most enthusiastic is Tally, who sometimes sounds like a jackhammer. She also dances: stands in place with her front legs pumping; one of her nicknames is Tiny Dancer.

Our Flash is a bit of a chatterer... he nibbles too! But Virgil wags his tail 100mph, and you're right lovemygreys, it definitely can hurt. But I never imagined that being loved this much by two greys would be so wonderful.... and it's only been 8 days since we brought them home! I can hardly wait for more!!!!!!!

Force chatters when he's waiting for food. Ranger does it mostly when we get home from work. Both have tails that leave bruises and I've noticed lately Ranger's is going more and more off the wall - literally! Ranger also does the dance - you would think he's the parade marshall the way he lifts those legs!! We brought the plants back inside yesterday and first thing he did was go stand under the one in the LR again - crazy dog! gracanada.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=training&action=display&thread=3055&page=1

Awwwwwwwwwwww how cute!
Gigi's a chatterer too...she sounds like castanets when she's excited...e.g. pre-walk...her friend coming in the door...etc. Once the chattering reaches a certain level and she's totally excited, she spins...360 degrees in mid air...this is repeated with bouncing between spins. Crazy hounds!

Willy and Mary also get very excited when I come home from work. Willy puts on this silly grin. He also loves eye contact so stands on his hind legs (doesn't touch me)and stares into my eyes and bounces. Then they both greet, then run away a few yards, then run back with even more gusto. I've learned to leave laptop, purse and gymbag at the door just so I can keep my balance and make my way into the room.
Oh and Willy knits/nibbles but it's on Mary's neck ... a different kind of excitement!!

Ace doesn't chatter but man does he ever do suicides in the living room. He stops millimeters from your feet and off he goes again running like a wild man. Doesn't matter if I've been gone 5 minutes or 5 hours.

Mayhem chatters occasionally when he is super excited (always related to my hubby) and Chaos is an air snapper and bouncer extrodinare! Chaos will run to the living room entrance where he can see the front door and put up a howl until I walk in. Then the goof will air snap 4 or five times, bounce up and down on his hind legs like a pogo stick before running circles around the room. This behaviour is reserved strictly for my benefit and gets quite the exasperated stink eye from Mayhem who thinks his brother is sooooooo undignified!!! lol.

Burner is a real teeth chatterer, it's pretty funny. He also spins his tail around in circles full force, his nic name is "Chopper", add that to him pawing at your leg and he's pretty entertaining! Balue is a little more subdued, he just pushes me along with his snout until he get's me where he wants me - i.e. the treat bowl ya just gotta love 'em!

Both my Annie and Beenee are quite the chatterers. If they do it out in public together it always turns quite a few heads! Some folks have asked if they are really cold!

Dexter only chatters after smelling where someone else has marked. He'll get his nose right into the grass, stick his tongue out a little, take a long sniiiiifffff and then pull his head up and chatter his teeth a little.
Both are tail-waggers, though, and have given me bruises once or twice just from the speed and strength!

These responses are great!! Wonder if we could get all the chatterers together and make one of those cd's - you know, like the barking dogs doing Christmas carols....haha
