Eddy, aka Elmer My Boy, passed over the bridge this morning while we cradled him in our arms.. He seemed fine when he woke, but had difficulty moving as the morning wore on, till he could no longer stand. It is likely he suffered a stroke. We celebrated his 12th birthday in Feb. and were 2 weeks short of his 7th gotcha day. Eddy was a dear boy, who loved his walks and being in parades next to his dad along side the GRA banner. He was a very gentle grey and when he took a treat from your hand, he would take it ever so gently with his lips. He loved his stuffies and often carried the biggest ones through the house. Even though he didn't like it, Eddy learned to use the ramp to get off the deck. It always made us smile the way he would scratch up the dirt on our walks. We miss you and love you, Eddy and feel blessed that you were and still are part of our family. We'd like to share a few of our most favorite pictures of Eddy and some of the things he loved to do. Running in our backyard snow track... winter 2004 Usually the first at the gate for walks He enjoyed cuddling with his stuffies Just a couple of our favorite pics of him God speed, run free with Nauti and Heidi and the angels over the bridge.

I had the honour of meeting Eddy, a sweeter pup there wasn't. I am sorry for your loss. You had seven wonderful years together. Hugs to you and the pups. I pray for comfort and peace for you all. Tara and Tyson

Cathy & Jim I'm so sorry. Eddy had such a personality. I think about our 'walk' while on our way home from Dewey. When he wanted to go no further, that was it he just stopped. He was so handsome and a cuddle bug.
Know I think of him often.
Godspeed Sweet Boy. You were a lucky houndie to have the mommmy and daddy you did.
Hugs Cathy & Jim Liz
