We are so sorry Anna, Ronn and Maya. I sent you an email but I don't think I could say enough what a beautiful special girl Phoebe was. She was so fortunate to have you as her owners and I hope that you find the strength to make it through this tough time! She will always be in your (and our) hearts!

This picture really captures how she was... is it only me or can you just see the sweetness in her eyes....?Thank you so much!! Knowing that other people are reading this, thinking of her really helps.... knowing that Phoebe is not forgotten helps. I'm still bawling and my heart is ripped to pieces, I still can't believe this happened. She was so good just few days ago. I'm so glad she celebrated Christmas Eve with us. The doggies ate with us. I even fed them from the table which I never normally do because I wanted them to be a part of our christmas eve dinner. Phoebe had appetite and she was sooo sweet. They ate some human food but nothing that would make them sick (little pieces of meat or veggies, no chocolate or sweets or junkfood) Then Christmas day we spent at the emergency. Then we had 1 good day and I just found pictures of that day on the camera <baaawwwling>. Then the next day she was critical and she died. Thank you for posting.. i'm checking the thread often. PS. I found a website (www.petloss.com), a support group that deals with pet loss grief support. At 10 pm (eastern standard time) they have The Monday Pet Loss Candle Ceremony which I'm gonna attend to grieve with others who lost their pets.

You can certainly see the sweetness in her eyes. What a beautiful girl, and how lucky you were to have her, and she you.
Be good to yourself, I know how I was when I lost my first greyhound very suddenly, it was a week before I could function at all, so take good care of yourself. The pet loss forum will be a great place for you to be during this difficult and painful time.

My deepest sympathy is extended to you at this tragic time. There is no greater unconditional love than that shared between animals & their human companions. The emptiness that you feel now will be replaced eventually with the warm memories of her beautiful face & those big soulful eyes. I'm sorry that she has left you so early in her life, however, we cannot measure our relationships with our pets in terms of the years spent together but rather by the experiences shared. As stated by an earlier post, it is not in our hands the length of time we have with each other, but clearly your life was meant to be shared with Phoebe and judging by the pictorial & your editorial that life together was pure bliss. Celebrate the joy she brought to you. Hugs & prayers to you both.
