Just a note that I felt I should share with everyone of you wonderful people here including Bill. Sadly I lost my little girl Sierra (Outlaw Sierra) just before halloween. I adopted her from Bill and Freddie 7 years ago and they were 7 of the most amazing years. I have never posted before, but I do lurk amongst the message boards and find your stories about your greyhounds very uplifting. I also find myself checking out the adoptables list almost every day. I still feel I need time to heal, but have probably convinced myself that in the spring, a new greyhound will find it's way to me. My house is very empty without my big suck around and I will never forget her. Thank you for taking the time to listen, and be assured I am always lurking amongst the boards and truly enjoy your stories.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Dogs, greyhounds especially, have that special ability to steal our hearts. Sierra was so lucky to have 7 lovely years with you, and I'm sure you feel very lucky to have had her companionship as well.
Take care of yourself,
Taylor

So sorry for your loss. You will know in your heart when it is time to adopt another pup and fill that void that you are experiencing now. Hugs to all your family.

I am sorry for your loss. It sounds like you and Sierra had a wonderful bond...she will always live on in your heart. Should you feel like it, feel free to share some of your memories of her...I love reading about all the greyhounds that loved and were loved back.

I'm so sorry that you lost your Sierra- no matter how long we have them, it's just not long enough.
Run free at the bridge little girl.

So sorry for the loss. They give unconditional love and companionship. I too know the feeling of the empty house.
In time you'll know when it's right to give another pup a forever home but Sierra will always be with you.

So very sorry for your loss. I don't think there's anything more painful then losing one of our grey babies. Her memory will always be in your heart. Run free at the bridge Sierra.
