This summer we lost both our beautiful greys. Al (a.k.a. Nita's Rowdy) was diagnosed with osteosarcoma. His limping had caught my attention. We brought him to the vet for some x-rays where I was shocked to learn that it was bone cancer. He was given 2 to 4 months to live. He lasted 10 months. While my wife and I were mentally preparing ourselves for his passing, our girl Rosa (a.k.a. Rosa Martina) was running out at camp with my brother's boxer Danny when she collapsed. We ran over to her and felt that her heart wasn't beating and she wasn't breathing. We tried CPR but were unsuccessful in reviving her. Needless to say we are devastated. Our house is so empty now. Al and Rosa had opposite personalities. Al was laid back and chill, more interested in humans than other dogs. Rosa was a ball of playful energy who'd vibrate with excitement when another dog came around. We miss them both terribly.

I am so very sorry for your lose. It is unbearalbe to lose one but two in one summer is too much. Your story brought tears to my eyes. Godspeed Al and Rosa. They are together running at the Bridge.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. We lost a dog to bone cancer and it was so hard to deal with. It seems yours didn't want to be separated in anything.

I'm so sorry. To lose two in so short a time must be especially hard, and both were so young.
