For anybody who doesn't have a greyhound, but were thinking maybe getting one, or for those of us who already have one (or more) but need that extra greyhound 'fix' then consider volunteering at the kennel to help Bill with the turnouts. Each turnout takes about an hour. The turnout times are, breakfast at 9:00am, supper at 4:00pm and bedtime at 9:30pm. There are a small number of volunteers who help out regularly at least once a week. For instance, we go Wed. mornings (as that suits are schedule the best) and occasionally other times, when we can. There is even a smaller number who go more often then that (eh, ocydrama, jiffer) ;D and Bill appreciates what ever help he can get. We look forward to our weekly outing to the kennel and seeing the hounds. The joy we get from the moment we walk into the kennel, to the sound of barking, hungry, tail wagging greys, and then when you open a crate to put on a muzzle and you get smothered with grey kisses, you know at least part of your day is going to be greyt! So, if you can find time for even one turnout a week, then give Bill a call and say you want to volunteer!

Yes, helping Bill out any way you can is always appreciated! You get to see so many happy faces and different personalities. Be careful though, I know so many people who fall in love when they start doing turnout regularly Then again, that's not really a bad thing!
