Green grass, chirping birds, windows wide open to let in the fresh scents of spring..... I just went outside and my neighbour came over to chat for a minute. Topic of conversation? "My, you talk to your dogs an awful lot!" Oops!

ROFL
That's awesome! Mine must think I'm nuts too. We're the only dog people in my neighbourhood who allow the dogs IN the house and I do stand outside and watch them go. LOL

That's to funny!!
I constantly talk to Hobbes when I walk, it makes for many strange glances when people realize it's a dog I'm chatting with. It doesn't help that I live in a pretty pet unfriendly area.

I have better conversations with Gini & Maz than I do with many humans. And it's nice to have friends to enjoy the birdsong with!

Oh yeah, Hector and Holly think I'm a genius, I swear. They put me right up there with rocket scientists, I'm sure. I'm not insane, really I'm not. I realize it doesn't take a lot to impress an animal whose main form of communication is peeing on a post or sniffing another's tush. And I'm also sure that eye rolling thing I saw Hector do the other day was just a trick of the light. I talk to these guys pretty much constantly, but definitely more when we're out walking. I ask them where they want to go, warn them of sidewalk hazards, tell them to watch their manners while approaching pedestrians..... etc. If dogs could talk, eh? Not sure about anybody else, but I'm pretty sure the first thing out of Holly's mouth would be, "Omgosh, does she NEVER shut up? " ;D Btw, when the neighbour mentioned me talking to the dogs, I had been inside when he overheard me, LOL.

I brought Server on a walk through the park yesterday because the weather was so nice and we couldn't go 5 minutes without kids and adults asking about him and wanting to pet him. Good thing he loves the attention.
I was telling everyone how Bill has plenty more just like him who are looking for homes think i might have convinces one person to look up the site too.

So glad to hear that I am not the only one who has ongoing conversation with my dogs when out on walks! I have often wondered what my neighbours think if/when they hear me talking to the dogs! But, I quickly shrug off the thought without "apology" because I just plainly love the critters and talking to them just comes along with it.

We talk to our pups all the time! I have full conversations with them. What scares me the most is when they understand what you have been talking about!
