Hi everyone- we adopted Sy (Sly Sy) on Sunday, april 23rd, on a rainy, rainy day! However, the skies did open just enough for us to walk him around and get to know him a bit, and him us! First two days have been interesting and already life-changing. He's done absolutely wonderfully with the kids and haven't had any major adjustment problems. Only thing is we haven't slept well in two nights. Looking forward to weekends and the June 17th GRA party!

Congratulations. Sy is a very sweet boy. I just love his markings.
Do you have a crate available for him to sleep in? Sometimes crating them at night helps them to relax a little. ... even just having a crate available in the room comforted Atlas on his first few nights (we were in a hotel LOL).

we do have a crate for him and we were putting him in it at night, but finally gave up last night around 2:30. His barking and crying were just too much to bare, so we brought him upstairs and had him sleep on the floor of our room. He did much better, only got up a couple of times to walk around. When I came back home from work this morning, though, around 11:30, he had pooped in his crate and it was everywhere! Needless to say, it was useless to punish him, so I spent the next two hours cleaning up and giving him a bath. At least he's nice and fresh now and after my two hours of work, I rewarded myself with a glass of champagne and strawberries! It's okay, he's just wonderful and things will work out.
