Hello,
Our boy "Mak" is a 9yr old that has had his share of health challenges over the past 6 years. This past spring he had few stays at the Emerg vet for stomach issues. In the past he has always gained his weight back. This time he has not and currently sits around 60pounds vs. regular weight over 6 years at 75 pounds and adopted weight just under 70.
He was on a science diet kibble food (low fat) prior to this past health issue. Then RAW (did not do well) and since the vet we have been giving him Hills Prescription Diet Digestive are I/D chicken and vegetable stew. He eats around 4-5 cans per/day (354g). We were told this is what he should eat as his body doesn't handle high fat foods. The food is very high in water content.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thank you, Chris

Hi Chris, I'm sorry I don't have any suggestions but wanted to follow up as it's been 2 months since you posted. How is Mak? How's his appetite and stools? I'm wondering is there's a kibble that's low fat that you could start to add and perhaps split into three meals a day?
