Unfortunately, our Moby loves to chew on plastic. You can leave a bowl of fried chicken or a steak within reach overnight on the counter or table and she won't touch it. But in the last few weeks, she has eaten a quarter of a remote for a DVD player, chewed on a cellphone, eaten part of a plastic hot-air vent, eaten the plastic tag off a fire extinguisher, and chewed on several pens she found behind a phone on the counter.
She has numerous soft chew toys, beef knuckle bones, and Nylabones in several flavours (which she mostly ignores). She gets Dentabones on a regular basis.
Short of buying her some obsolete cellphones to chew on -- any suggestions?

I agree on the water bottles as long as you're supervising and they aren't chewed up and swallowed.

Very funny! ;D She won't chew on those - she has a whole recycling basked filled with empty ones next to her food trays! (The vet put her on bottled water over a year ago because she has a bit of a recurring urinary problem.) According to the vet, she seems to have suffered no ill effects from any plastic or 'electronic parts' she has ingested to date (in one end, out the other ) We're just wondering why she does this and how to break her of it. The vet also suggested she might be looking for something "crunchy". She already gets carrots and apples - we're at a loss as to what she might be craving? I rubbed her new Nylabone liberally with cooked ham to "lure" her to it and she just ignores it.

Oh boy! You're in trouble! Hide the remotes, cell phones and everything plastic! You might find some good suggestions/help on Greytalk. Tons of greyhound savvy people there. Good luck!

Best thing to do is hide everything she likes to chew. We had to hide a lot of our "things" in the rooms the dogs go into.
Good luck
