Please tell me someone has had the same thing happen with one of their greyhounds! Every time I give Kiki a new food or feed him somewhere other than home he pees in his food bowl after he's finished. My guess is that he's marking it as "his bowl" or "his place to eat" or something along those lines. He did it the first time I fed him raw, right after I gave him some tripe, then again when he ate at my parents' place the first time and then again after I started him on 50/50 raw/kibble. Taylor just looks at him like "what's up with you dude" and then runs away. Is this something anyone has experienced before?

Not sure why they do it. Atlas did that the first time I packed our bags to go on a trip. He walked into the kitchen and lifted his leg and filled the water dish.

Abby does that if we lock her in the crate. Tigger likes to pee on other peoples dishes.

Weird. Maybe it's a brindle thing You may be on to something! Chevy used to pee on the food bowls and still pees on water buckets outside - at home and playgroup! Chevy also LOVES to pee on people's vehicles...especially the expensive ones! When we go for walks I have to make sure that we do not walk too close to the cars parked on the street!
